On Rua Barroca, on the fourth and final floor of a classic Bairro Alto building, this light-filled apartment is a study in natural textures — woven baskets, raw linen, warm timber and sun-bleached stripes — composed in soft beach tones. From its terrace the city's painted roofs roll away to the Tagus and the open sea beyond. It is a place to come home to after a day wandering cobbled lanes, and a place you may find hard to leave.

This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Bairro Alto which was adequately roomy for 4 guests. The apartment is wonderfully placed for bars and restaurants with great views from the terrace. The apartment was very clean with all the necessary amenities. There are 83 steps up to the apartment, so please take this into consideration if booking with elderly guests or lots of luggage, as no lift is available. Perfectly located for a first stay in Lisbon as transport links are excellent from close by. Overall a fantastic stay and worth the extra money in comparison to other apartments nearby.

The place was as depicted, cheery and bright with good beds & lovely linens, located in the centre of the old town in Lisbon. Patio & living room furniture were good quality too. We loved the rooftop patio with city views and the water in the distance — it made the four floors to walk up worth it. The apartment had all we needed including hairdryer, iron, dishes, fridge, dishwasher etc. Great neighbourhood close to excellent restaurants, local craft shops and historic sites too. We would stay again!!!

This apartment is fabulous! Having a cuppa on the veranda overlooking the river is a brilliant way to start the day. The location is great, very lively into the early hours, but the windows kept out all the noise and it was great to have bars and restaurants so close by. We were fine without any air conditioning.
